As the name implies, this shroom is native to the jungle of the Amazon area in South America, and was discovered or first described about 1906. Further historical research indicates that ancient Shamans of Brazil commonly used this mushroom to bring about spiritual experiences, visions, and interpretations of the reality around them.
Considered a potent strain, it’s also one of the genetic parents of the Albino mushroom.

Amazonian Magic Mushroom Description
Scientifically, the Amazonian mushroom is known as Psilocybe Cubensis and sometimes is referred to only as cubensis or PESA (Pacific Exotica Spora Amazonia).
Before they are dried, these shrooms can grow quite large and beefy, sometimes even reaching 12″ tall, but mostly averaging around 6″. When they begin to grow, their caps are dark red, but as they grow and mature, the red remains only as a spot on the cap.
